What is Scooby Doo?-  Scooby Doo is revolved around a specific group of five named Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred who solve mysteries. In order to catch people dressed up in masks they drive around in a van they call “The Mystery Machine.” Often in the show, someone committing a crime will dress up in a scary costume in order to scary people and finish their crime. It is around this time, the five show up in “The Mystery Machine” in order to catch the guy in the mask!

How long Has Scooby Doo Been On?-   Scooby Doo was originally broadcasted on CBS from 1969-1975, when it moved to ABC. From there, ABC aired the shows unti 1986, when they cancelled it. From there, they presented a spin off featuring the main characters as kids in high school and a dog named Scooby Doo from 1988-1991. In recent years, still, cartoon episodes and movies are made!

Five Main Characters-  Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Fred, and Daphne

Scooby Doo- Scooby was a dog, owned my Shaggy, and was the main character of the show, hence the name of the show “Scooby Doo.” Scooby helped solve the mysteries, mostly with his nose, but he was often scared and let the others do most of the work. He loved to eat food with his owner Shaggy, and if he did something good he would receive a “scooby snack” for his work.

Shaggy- Shaggy was the owner of Scooby and was also easily frightened by danger. Most of the time Shaggy and Scooby would spent their time eating food, and playing weird games. Shaggy wasn’t particularly skilled at any individual trait but he still helped the group solve crimes and mysteries, so he proved himself useful.

Velma- Velma was really smart and was often seen figuring out tricky puzzles, mazes, or secret codes. She did most of the background work of the group. In the TV show and movies she was pictures as kinda nerdy but played a good role in the group. Without Velma the group would have a hard time figuring out the hard stuff.

Fred- Fred was the unannounced leader of the group. He often told the team what their jobs what be for each case and was usually the guy to take the mask off the villain. Fred was very athletic and was known for catching the guy running away in the mask. He is known for wearing an orange neck tie and taking the mask off the bad guy.

Daphne- Daphne is smart but also has great social skills. She was great at solving mysteries and was vital in the groups success. Daphne was also kinda the most popular socially out of the group, and she used her social skills in and out of mysteries. In the show and movies, if anyone, Daphne most of the time was captured by the ghost but she always made it out fine.
